Jōryū-ji has been known as a temple of Enoshima pilgrimage path. There is the grave mound of former envoys such as 杜世忠 (Tō Seichu), who were killed by the order of Hōjō Tokimune. The precinct has a relaxed atmosphere, and you will see the fabulous weeping cherry trees and the flower during the spring season. When winter finished and the first warm breezes, you might encounter Japanese spring sign of plum flower, and ume, carrying sweet and syrupy smell of plum flower throughout the precinct.
