Ryuko-ji Temple used to be an execution ground. People of Nichiren Sect were brought here and beheaded beacuse of incur odium of Kamakura Shogunate. The shelter where Nichiren people had spent is still preserved as it is in this temple. Moreover, it is the only place where wooden five-storey pagoda is seen. "Ryukouhounanne" is the event for Daihoyo (major Buddhist memorial service) held on 11, 12, and 13 of every September.
